I can't believe I ate the whole thing

There are two video game series in this world that I truly enjoy. One is the set of Tony Hawk skating games, which I've been playing since the days of the old school PlayStation. The other is Grand Theft Auto, which I've really only been playing since Vice City was available for the XBox as half of a double pack along with GTA3 (which I played only a little). The latest installment of GTA is huge, but by some force of luck I actually finished the primary storyline last light.

The final mission took 20-30 minutes of real world time to do. It was insane, and I could/should have failed it any number of times. The main example being when I had to escape from a burning building filled with gunmen. My health meter was empty and flashing, meaning the next hangnail I got would kill me, and then I found some body armor, which allowed me to make it the rest of the way. That wasn't it, though. I was on a timer, too, and only managed to get out of the building with maybe 12 seconds left on the clock.

That was probably only the midpoint of the mission, too. Then I had to drive a car through gang bangers tossing molatov cocktails and all kinds of other craziness.

I ended up finishing with zero health and maybe one third armor.

But I did the damned thing on the first try, and boy am I glad!
