Did you know Dickie and the boys are doing a Mighty Mighty Bosstones reunion thing with a series of shows at the Middle East?
The gang is all 40-ish now, but it seems most of them couldn’t find anything else they wanted to do.
This video got me a little misty for my BU days. Like the time I saw the Bosstones tear up the CollegeFest shindig at Hynes Convention Center (probably in 1993…?).

I saw them at Collegefest in 1991. Their show ended with everyone in the crowd bouncing on the makeshift stage while the band played on. Good times.
i was at the first “hometown throwdown” series at the middle east. free ticket from a buddy beer first time seeing the bosstones = mind frakkin’ blown.
i had (and still haven’t) seen anything quite like it.
Joe: That 91 Collegefest sounds about right. Maybe that’s the one I was at, too. I just remember a *really* tall guy pogoing next to the speaker stacks on the right side of the stage early into the set.
