You should get ColdFire add-on to it for ColdFusion debugging. I did find one problem with it where it didn’t display all the templates processed so I had to revert back to normal debugging but I’m sure it can be tweak in the coldfire.cfm file itself.
Let me ax a stoopid question: what should someone who is interested in getting in on the ground floor of web development get into?
Okay…it’s me. I don’t know what the frig is what, but I had some nice programming experience in high school. What book or program should I pick up to get into the game? I just want the entry into the world, and then I can find my way from there.

Actually, I don’t know if that’s a great answer for a n00b… Still, I’d say get the _Agile Web Development on Rails_ book and see if it makes any sense.
Before that, though, you should want to learn some basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You can actually do a lot of fun stuff with just those three. Once you grok what’s going on, you can move over to the backend stuff with a dynamic scripting language and databases.
