That’s what our waiter had tattooed on his knuckles last night, even though he seemed too young to know the movie. (We asked: the movie was his inspiration.) We managed to avoid calling him Ponyboy.
But we all know “Nothing gold can stay.“

I think it was “Crazy For Swayze” week on the Encore. They have been looping Roadhouse, Red Dawn, Point Break, Dirty Dancing (Edo’s favorite) and The Outsiders it seems every time I check in.
Of course I watch them all no matter where I come in at.
Road House: the greatest bad movie ever made. Blood of Heroes ranks a close second, as the Swayz edges out Rutger Hauer by a nose.
Jake knows of my affinity for the ‘House. I even went so far as to order Roadhouse 2: Last Call on Netflix to see if they followed the same storyline premise. They did w/o much success.
Some favorite lines from OG ‘House:
“I used to fuck guys like you in prison.”
“That girl has entirely too many brains to have an ass like that.”
“Pain don’t hurt.”
“Nobody ever really wins a fight.”
I have used “Pain don’t hurt” altogether too many times in my life.
