Toddy is an incredible way of serving coffee. We used to make our own blend at one of my old coffee shop gigs. It makes iced coffee drinks a breeze to serve up, and maintains the great taste and body of the coffee. I recommend the method, highly.

As for all the IA moves...WTF, over? Who's left?

Yeahbut, that's kind of a dumb trademark, unless he wanted to intentionally mislead people into thinking his coffee was spiked...the definition of toddy as an alcoholic beverage has got his trademark beat by about 175 years. Surely this would lead to confusion...I'm going to go ponder this over a bowl of ice cream with jimmies. :-)

Toddy is a trademark referencing a cold brewing system developed and patented by Todd Simpson in 1964. Todd Simpson = Toddy

Hot toddy is a name given to a mixed drink that is served hot. Although it originated in Scotland, there are many variations; the essential elements are as follows:

    * a spirit base such as brandy, rum or whisky.
    * hot liquid - hot tea, coffee, cocoa, water, etc.
    * a sweetener, such as honey, sugar or syrup.

(bless Wikipedia...)

So yeah, i don't know how cold-soaked coffee got the name "toddy coffee" but it did...

Yeah, the only time I'd heard of "hot toddies" was from a girl I dated who ordered it in an Irish pub we went to. I understood it to be some sort of coffee with alcohol in it, but didn't try it myself nor did I really ask about it.
