So, cork’d is pretty cool. Nice to see Dan & Dan doing cool stuff together.
I’m not a real wine aficionado - my wine tastes aren’t very refined. I like it that way, though. I tend to enjoy $10-15 bottles as much as something that costs $70+. I figure that’s a good thing.
Anyway, I’m on there as JakoBlah (or you can search for “Sutton”), even though I don’t expect to use it very much.
I do wish something like this existed for beer. I’d have some fun with that. Unfortunately, as far as i know, there aren’t any good online beer merchants you could partner with for some commerce kickback (cork’d is hooked up with wine.com). Booze would be fun, too, though, and I know there are plenty of decent online liquor retailers…

That *is* a good thing. I honestly don’t think that a bottle of wine has to be expensive to be good.
I also like the beer website idea. You could call it Boozr. And when searching the site, you could use the Boozr Cruizr. Just a thought.
Thanks for the pointer - what a great idea! At least if they have a kind of buddy feature built in (haven’t signed up yet), users can eliminate the shilling that typically occurs on any type of review site like this.
I second the motion for a beer version (and any way aren’t some beers cork’d? What about the Chimays?)
These guys have a feature in Boston’s Weekly Dig. I am not the most avid reader of their column, but I learn something new and interesting about craft beers nearly every time I do choose to read.
I say you use your geek skills and come up with one for spirits, one for beer and figure out the money angle later. I’ll be a guest contributor for both. First beer? Harpoon IPA. First spirit? Jinro, of course.
how about crack’d… we can have famous crack addicts review their favorite locations and paraphenelia.
I believe that would be a cam-site of the DC mayor’s office…
