Yeah, that was part of my thinking, too: I basically never want a job that has me interacting with the general public. The only thing that might change that would be a total career change, but that would probably be a switch to something "creative" (architecture has always been attractive) so I should be able to selective flash the ink or wear long sleeves.

The Wife is a different story, though. She isn't shy with her tattoos while at work evaluating various forms of crazy in a hospital emergency department. Mostly she thinks it helps her when dealing with the drug users, etc., by giving her a little outward cred.

As for your boy crushes... Does your wife ever talk to you about BGB threesome fantasies? Just wondering... ;)

If I was doing a long stretch in prison with either of the two brothers from that show, I wouldn't feel gay at all by giving them some manlove. That's how you roll in the joint. Not to mention they are both as handsome as my man Henry Simmons, and damned close to my boyfriend Michael Vartan.

As far as the acceptance of 'visible' tattoos, I think that it really does depend on what line of work you are in. Someone who has to deal with the public on a daily basis probably shouldn't have their ink all over the place, since you never know who you are dealing with. I similarly don't think people (aside from Hasidim, et al.) should be showing their religious beliefs too obviously. If you interact with other people from your company almost exclusively, then why not show your shit? Employees shouldn't judge their peers.
