Next they take on Nebraska-Omaha in the first round of the NCAA tournament this Friday, the 24th.

My friend Jo-Jo had the female equivalent of the nuts to tell me that ‘my boys’ almost fucked it up for her Gonzaga team in the March Madness nonsense. I axed her who my boys were, and she said, “BC”. WTF? Don’t people know that BU and BC are quite different institutions? That’s like saying that Mets fans ‘boys’ lost a 3-0 lead in the 2004 ALCS to the beloved Boston Red Sox.
Yeah, truth be told, nobody who didn’t either go to one or the other or grow up in Boston knows the difference.
What really cracks me up is how so many working class types in Boston have a natural prejudice against BU. As if BC were some bastion of equality for the little men and women of the world. Maybe it starts at the high school level?
