Based on the traditional Americana gypsy profile motif, but done in Fish’s distinctive style. This is the first one I’ve gotten from him that is recognizably his artwork.
It’s awesome. More color in a couple weeks.

Greenman Is Done!

In February, I start the next one. Gotta get all the Fish time I can afford while he’s still in Denver.
Saturday afternoon was again spent in Fish’s chair at Th’Ink Tank.
He came at me with a much more sensible approach of shading and coloring chunks instead of shading the whole thing and coloring it all the next time. (He did all the shading on Ed’s at once because he had to let Ed walk out with a tattoo that looked complete.) As per usual the color work is astonishing:

Yeah, finally got to go in and start the greenman tattoo. I’ll have two more sittings to finish it. We only managed to do the line work today. It’s that effing HUGE!
I’m seriously amazed he managed to do Ed’s shading (even though Ed went back for more a few days later, which… Ouch!). There are a lot of lines in this puppy.
Good times. I’ll post an after pic once I wash it. Here’s the full outline after the first wash.
